Hey jay that's great congrats on the race,

I've not run my ttr pro too much, due to my ignorance, I put a brand new air filter on my sure fire .32, and forgot to OIL IT!! I was concidering the axial, friend of mine has one in his buggy, and it's silly fast. Where did you get yours? I'm shopping around. Are there any other engines anyone would recommend? On a die budget, stay within the budget or die, according to my wife lol

John, I'm gonna be in San Carlos for a month, and I'm gonna finish breaking it in, and race it if I find any tracks nearby.

It worked great for. It held tune and never flamed out. I only used it for about 3/4 gallon. I sold it with upgraded pipe on ebay. I am not like most racers. I do not try to buy what the "World Champs" are running. I try to look for the best engine at a decent price. It makes me laugh when I see people who buy $250-$400 modded engines and have know idea how to break them in or tune. I do just fine with my $100-$130 engine.

Good and Affordable Engines (I have owned engines from all three manufacturers)
1.TTR .21 & .28
2. Axial .28 & .32
3. STS .21, .28, & .30

*******My personal opinion*******

Cool thanx, Are the .21's good in trugies too or am I better off with the .28's?

ps I love my ttr pro, handles great and is really tough too.

If you go .21, it needs to be the STS .21 Team engine ($169) or the other high-end .21 engines. The high-end .21 engines can handle truggies quit easily. (Nova, Rex, RB, Werks, OS V-specs)

My truck doesn't seem to want to sit still during idle. I still have the stock ttr pro .28. What could be causing this?

Turn your idle screw out. If it is open too much, it can cause the clutch to engage. If that does not work check your linkage on throttle or your radio to make sure that your carb is closing when you get off the throttle.

I also would like to know this gsfreak as i can get a second hand rtr for half the price of a new Pro. Do the pro st-1's handle better than the rtr since in a review i read, the rtr was easily out handled by a 8ight-T. Is this the case.
I love the st-1 i think it looks and from what ive seen it is immense.
