i did that in my savy, im not sure how it will work on a truggy, but i found that if you were to use it, you want much heavier oil in the dampers. if you were using lets say 50 in the front id almost go to a 60-70. its makes the suspension stiffer but it overally operates much smoother. again this is on a MT so idk about a truggy.

I just rebuilt mine after it ran off on me, again, and used the shocks and mounts off my old ST-1 to run 8 shocks. Im not sure if there is a single long screw you can get that allows you to mount them in the same hole in the shock tower on both sides, so i just put them as close as i could using 2 different holes

looks good , u could go to a local bolt bar/ shop and buy some 316 stainless steel threaded rod [ M3] and cut it down to the length u want/need for the shock mounts .
i plan on doing this when i recive all of my parts [ i have every thing except for the shock stand offs , but im buying them now ]

Itchy, if you found a small enough(in diameter) threaded rod, you could cut it to size, stick it through, and use two locknuts to secure it.

I didnt even think of that lol, theres a Bolt Place just down the road now that you mention it. I need to get a couple more parts before i can drive it again anyway. That little trooper has been through a fair bit, hes run away on me 4 times so far, the last was a week ago. The 3rd time it ended up taking off out of the car park i was in and onto a main road the poor little bugger got smashed by a car and ruined my new OS30 motor. I was still running it in too, got pics on page 7 i think it is. i still need to get another set of springs, a front lower arm bracket, bullbar and and a new body. Iv got an LRP pipe in the mail that should be here in a few days too, my TTR one is a piece of **** with rubbish melted all over it i hate it lol. I cant wait to get it all back together and running again.

And by the way Jasrx, when you mount your second set of shocks, use the longer stand offs for the front set and the shorter ones for the back set, they fit better and it makes all the shocks sit parallel too. lol not sure if you'll understand that, i kind of dont now that i read it but youl see what i mean when you do it

well i got to work on my st-1 today and really get a good look at it. i help out at the local hobby shop in my spare time, so the owner lets me pay my stuff off in installments. i have just 172 bucks left and i can take it home, but for now i get to work on it when i come in every week. first off i have to say this truggy is rediculous!! at first i wanted a jammin crt, but the st-1 rtr is a pro kit in disguise. i love the cvd's all the way around, and the front sway bar that comes standard is also very nice. the way this truggy is built is just spectacular, the shock towers, arms, everything is just beefy and looks as though it can take a beating. not much i can say that i dont like about this truck, other than why didn't TTR supply the rear body mounts for it instead of using the wing mount as rear body mounts? ah well, i ordered some rear body mounts when i ordered the truck, so i'm good, i installed the wing today at the shop. the rims and tires look cool as well, i know i'll be switching to some crime fighters or bowties, and panther tires later on as well as some dish rims. i got the purple and silver body with the truck, my only gripe with that is that the body is paper thin on the sides towards the bottom. other than that, this truck is nice, can't wait to race it.

yeah i still got the standard Jaguar 2 channel that came in the rtr kit but my local hobby shop has a Spectrum DX3 kit aside for me when i get some spare cash. I just ran it out the front for the first time about an hour ago and the throttle servo started playing up and stuck on full throttle. my heart sank to my feet, i couldnt believe it was going to crash again after only 2 minutes of run time after the rebuild. But luckily it was coming at me kind of and im prettry agile so i managed to run and dive in front of it as it was going past. Boy will i never do that again. IT HURT LIKE CRAP MAN lol it got me right in the chest at about 65 kph, i grazed up my elbow and shoulder and i think it cracked a couple ribs im having a hard time breathing now and iv got a real stabbing pain on my right side. But it was worth it to save my little buddy, now i definately need a new chassis plate though ( and maybe a rib plate while im at it )

I believe that is the best story I have ever heard as well as the best save I have ever heard. My stupid friend tried to catch my ST-1 comin down from a jump at him, it didn't work out. On a serious note, you may wanna go get checked out, cracked ribs can puncture a lung or other organs and shouldnt be taken lightly......trust me, it killed lane frost.

Has anybody used the thunder tiger 4-shoe clutch and fly wheel part no. PD0998? You can see it here although there is no pic or description http://www.thundertiger4u.com/4shoe-clutch-type-p-9836.html I called ace hobby customer service, the guy said they didnt have one so I gave him the part number. He went and got it, said he had never heard of it before and had never seen it before. The kit comes with flywheel, collet, cluth nut, 4 springs, 4 carbon shoes and some shims. Replacement carbon shoes and springs are $12 (pd1218) but he said he did not see aluminum shoes listed anywhere as available options. I jsut wondered if anybody has used these and may know of any aluminum shoes that may fit, would be a super cheap alternative for a four shoe setup on the ST-1. I might pick one up just to see but right now am poor. I vote for Jaywax to buy one and see what shoes will fit for us. M2C racing was no aware that TTR had their own four shoe setup so therefor he does not produce a shoe for them....yet.
