Billy Hell -> Add new fuel to old fuel or not? (1/30/2002 10:38:47 PM)

I have a full jug of 10 percent 2 stroke fuel and a pretty old 1/4 jug of fuel I've been using. Should I add the new fuel to the old jug or fly out the old jug? I hate going to the field and carring two jugs when I know one would do.

I'm like you....I put the new in the old jug all the time. AS long as the fuel is the same brand I don't see a problem.. I've even mixed different nito strenghts.

Have never had a problem.

I do it all of the time. It DOESN"T even have to be the same brand. Just remember that mixing brands may cause your engine to run differently and you may have to adjust your high and possibly your low needles again to account for differences.

I was just wondering about water getting into the old jug. I guess this isn't a prob lem?

Water in the old jug could be a problem, if say for example it sat for a year with the cap loose.

I too top off the jug I'm using from with new fuel.
