Hi Robert,

I`m setting up a 35% Aviation Models Extra 260 and have a couple of questions...first, let me tell you what I`ve got;

1ea. power Expander with a Futaba 319 Synth Reciever
1ea. Turbo Regulator
2ea Fromeco Peerless 2400 LiIon
2ea Fromeco Badger Failsafe Slider switches
1ea. C-Volt

I want to be able to charge the batteries at the switches outside the Airplane and monitor voltage when operating the flight controls with the C-Volt.

I notice the Turboreg has a single switch input, so that means the batteries would have to be hooked up to it directly and seperate charge leads would have to be installed.
Tell me if I have this right....Hook the batteries to the input of the Badger switches, The output of the switches to the Turbo Reg and then the two outputs of the turbo Reg to the Power Expander. This would let me use the charge ports on the Badgers?
Do I hook the Cvolt to any unused channel on the power expander? and will this show servo system voltage under load?
Everything is 18 gage and deans connected.

Thanks for you time!!

Hi Larry,
Using the Badger switches you have the configuration right. I would assume you would want to monitor the battery voltages not the servo system but if you do want to monitor the regulated voltage you have it right. If you want to monitor the battery voltages you could use the charge jack inputs on the TurboReg.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Robert...Darn you`re fast!!!

If a servo is working harder or binding it would show a voltage drop...I always like to see what is going on with system voltage, since battery monitoring is done preflight with a volt checker at the switch ports. Would this voltage drop show at the power expander servo connections?

Thanks!!

Hi Larry,
You may see a little drop but it won't be as pronounced as when 22ga wiring was used into a receiver unless the servo is really drawing a lot of current.
