Hello there.

Hoping somebody can help me. I am new to the helicopter hobby and I am trying to fly the #60. Not suprisingly I have crashed and bent some parts. I can not see how I can get the main rotor shaft out of the model without completely taking it to pieces. Is there an easy way to get it off.

Thanks

Well in to get the main shaft out you will be needing to remove the top part of the frame from the base frame and remove the head.. just unscrew the top philips screw near the mixing arms and pull it out.. then just unscre the collar you can pull out the main shaft then...

Thank you for your response. When I remove the top part of the frame will the whole head assembly and the main gear go off the heli ?.
I have attached a BMP, you may need to view at 200%. I have marked what I think is the locking collar. Please can you confirm this is the right part. Which parts of the top frame do I need to remove ?. I have also attached some jpg that may be clearer. Could you inmdicate which parts of the top frame I need to remove.

Thanks very much for your help.

Well to remove the gear there are 3 parts on the frame. but all you need to remove is the top part of the frame the one screwed on the bottom frame.. there are only 4 screw that you need to remove on the frame. this are the ones near the servo and the 2 are on the tail boom holder.. once you get this out you cn pull out the whole top frame.. for the shaft you will be needing to remove the head assembly you only need to remove one screw and the whole head can be pulled out.. then unscrew the collar so you can pull out the gear.

Thank you again for your help. Time to get out the tools and take it to pieces.
