Are the ailerons on the 85"Yak matched to wings as a pair or are the interchangeable? The left & right ailerons look identical to me. BTY a big kudo's to the guys in the packing/shiping dept. My Yak arrived in perfect condition, the best packing arrangement I have ever seen!.

Hi zx32tt,

They are ont interchangeable! Have you taken the ailerons off the wing. If not, make sure when you take them off to do the hinging put them back the same way. Let me know if you need help. Also make sure to download the new manual on www.qqaircraft.com

Thank you,
Reza

Yes, the ailerons have been separated from the wings. & I did not mark them to keep them matched. How can I tell which one goes to its mate?

The side of the aileron that should be next to the root of the wing is wider. Look at the attached pic and maybe best way is to match the colors and scheme.

My plane is all white. I understand that there is a "wing tip end", and a "root end"of each aileron. I also understand there are two close together on the tip end of each aileron. The question is, would the left aileron work with the right side wing?

No, it wouldn't. Let me get some measurements for you and get back with you. There is only one side of the aileron that is cut out for the hinges so you can't just flip it over and use the left ail on right wing. Like I said before the root end of the aileron is wider than the tip end but I will get you measurements.

Root side measures 3.5" and wing tip side 2.75". Hope this helps.
