ORIGINAL: Rezagh Looks Awesome shakes! How did you like it? BTW, this is by far the best flying field I have seen. You guys are lucky. Did you like my modified CG? Thanks, Reza How did I like it? I guess I do...since I haven't stopped smiling for about the last 6 hours . JK, I LOVE the plane. As far as a maiden report...here goes. QQ Yak 102" with DA-100, MTW Canisters and PT 27x10 prop. Smart-fly power expander, equalizers Fromeco batteries and regulators Started it up, sounds awesome! Taxied out, throttle on....take off was just gorgeous as it rotated! Wow this thing has some power - had to back off quickly. 2 clicks of down trim was all it needed. Since this was a maiden and the first time I have flown anything in the 100cc range, I just pretty much flew circles. Some vertical climbs, etc. were thrown in. I didn't really try anything else but I can tell it flies just like my 85" just better. The characteristics are the same, just 100% better. Most stable thing I have ever flown - rock solid. I can't wait until I'm comfortable with it! Very hot today and this plane is definitely a floater. Verticals were unlimited and the power on the DA-100 was amazing honestly for the first time it has ever been in the air. I only flew once, the plate holding my fuel tank came lose on the back side so I need to epoxy that back into place. Also, Reza...I had some gasoline drip down from my fuel dot and eat a couple of huge chunks of foam in the wing saddle. Should this be something I need to fix or is it just not anything to worry about? Video - yea, its boring but its my maiden QQ Yak 102 Maiden I rendered it low quality so it would upload fast. I'll replace it with a better quality vid when I have time. Oh, the CG is close to the 8.5" and it seems dead on - not nose heavy or tail heavy, very neutral. LOVE IT! Oh, my landing was quite HOT . I usually come in a little faster when its as hot as it was today but since I am not used to something this size, it looked like it was moving so slow up until it crossed the threshold of the runway - then it was like "holy cow!"
