Status: offline 		Please advise me if I could run one of the sims on my Dell Inspiron 7000, 400 mHz, 256k memory, 8 mb Ati Rage 3D video card, 15 " screen,8 gb hard drive. I would like to practice aerobatics in the winter. Thanks Lee

Status: offline 		I am running both CockpitMaster and FMS on my laptop. It is a Dell Pentium III 500MHz with 128Mb RAM and an ATI Rage Mobility 128 AGP 3D video card with 8Mb of video RAM.

Your configuration is very similar to mine so I would expect no problems running either of these sims.

You don't mention what Operating System you are running though! I am running Windows 2000 and this does mean that I cannot use a parallel port interface.

I use a device called an RCJoy from Lew Engineering to convert my Futaba buddy cord to a USB connection for use on my laptop.

Out of the 2 sims I use I prefer FMS which is actually a free download from:

http://simulator.home.pages.de/

with a whole stack of add-on planes at:

http://www.rc-sim.de/downloads_all.htm

Now as for Realflight G2 I believe it will not work with your configuration. Not enough video processing power and video RAM.

You should download FMS and try it out on your laptop.
