st was until now one of the best for longevity we have some old ones not sure but more than 10 years old and still as good as new, my dad is a after run oil fanatic .you can crash but just don't forget the after run. the latest generation Ching engines are as good as budget engines get which means pretty good just don't open a rossi or st and then look at a mag or even some branded engines . you wonder why the con rod just looks so much better. the Ching engines now have genuine abc (chrome plated) barrels not nickel, thats why you need to run them in slowly. of interest the new st engines are also made in china hope they will be as the old ones.

Is it true that the ST 46 and 50 make 25% more power than a regular 46 and 50? Saw this claim on their website. They also say they now have 15% more power than the old ones!

ok have been there nothing new. yes when you compare a gp42 or la os this one will blow their heads off but a rossi 45/webra40 etc in this class. some 40/45 engines get to 2hp. this 45 st is one of the benchmark engines anyway.

In my Vmar Pc 9 i use a TT61 pro it has plenty of power and it is a bit hevy and you will have to check the CofG and have moved my batt behind the servo tray and i have 3 inches from the leading edge,allso i have a smoke system installed and i has a realy nice glide path.
On thr note of kits being made in differnt places for other parts of the world??? maybe,,,,,i have just orderd my 3rd Vmar kit a and i will let you know what its like.

if you want real power you need fuel, so yes the rossi53 will fly two minutes shorter than our st51 at twice the power- we have only seen guys who dont have good engines knock them not so. even os gets knocked all the time and we all know that they are really good. but pricey . the st 45/51 matches and betters the 46fx but both are industry bench marks. for sure the st will out last the os . again i cant speak for the new st(ching). i do believe if they want to live up to their old reputation it better be as good.

The OS does outperform the ST.
OS:
RPM=2,000-17,000 BHP=1.59 @ 16,000 13.2

ST:
RPM=2500-16000 BHP=1.45 bhp @ 16,000 rpm

GMS 47A:
RPM=2000-16000 Bhp=1.47 @ 16,000 RPM

and then theres:
ROSSI: Bhp=2.10 MAX Rpm=16.000 WOW!
I could just sqeeze in a bigger fuel tank 4 the rossi since it has lots of eccess power?

I thought the OS might guzzle more fuel because of the high RPM?
How long do rossi last for anyway?

(Thanks for putting up with me I havent had much experience with any engine but the TT46PRO which I found after 8 months feels a bit flat and unstable )

in real life the st will swing a slightly bigger prop than the os at same rpm .but yes the rossi is compared to all engines in its class on top also in the hp to weight on top , this was measured against the webra50/enya50/ irvine53/ and so on i will look for the thread and post it.also a few pics of the engine to follow
