hey all, im looking at building a little plane for some good ol' relaxing flying. so far, the kit i have picked out is the cloud ranger by Herr engineering. the place i will be flying from wont be at ant club (theres a motocross track beside it and its just not fun when they're using the track) so i figured i would get a plane that i can fly in a nice open field about the size of a soccer field. now i need to know whch power type i shoud use, glow or electric? I am unfamiliar with electrics (only ever had a rtf parkflyer) but would like the quiet operation (there's a few neigbors around). the glow engine i would want to use will be a norvel big mig .061. and i was wondering how loud these little engines are? I really dont want to disturb anybody and have to fly elsewhere.
any input would be greatly appreciated

Your Norvel will be fairly quiet as-is, but it will really whisper with a Fly Quiet pipe on it. Electric is expensive to get into, moreso than glow, which you already have...

I've never owned the .061 but I have a couple .074 Norvels and they are super quiet.

I bought 'em off eBay. They're only sold direct from Fly Quiet. (flyquiet.com ?)
