Ok before i get flamed, yes i have read through and saw that there are other posts like this. But i want a response directly for me to me.. thanx

Ok here we go. Ive been rc'ing for about 3 years and im pretty good at racing. thing is, I was into 1/8 scale trucking.. well i know alot about nitro/electric rc cars but im a bit stumped about what to do with the drifting scene. ok the main questions are, what is the best car? but then again which is better nitro or electric? im wanting to do high speed drifting, not really the close cornering drifting. budget isnt really a concern, but i dont want to spend more than 250.00 if there is a really good setup for more than that let me know... thanks in advance all :-)

There is no best car, any 4wd touring car will do. Electric and nitro both have advantages and disadvantages, but electric is more common and easier.
If you wanna get drifting quoick-smart, go for the Tamiya Expert Built TT-01D, which comes complete with a radio set, batteries, drift tyres, ball bearings, oil-filled shocks and I think a charger.
For high speed drifting, drift radials are the go.

That's pretty much it, but of course you already knew all this because you searched through the forums, right?

that is the kit, although you will need a radio. if you have been racing, and you are a complete R/C addict, like most of us,you probably have a spare 2-channel radio lying around. this kit has the esc with it as well. paint the body, through in you radio, and a good stick pack, and slide away. you should be in the whole set-up for $200.00 or less.

If you have enough spare parts lying around I would go with a Yokomo DP. But you are gonna need motor, esc, radio, and servo. But they are a better. I have both a tt-01 and a yokomo.

Depends on battery capacity, motor, gearing, tire choice, and throttle manipulation. As a rule of thumb, using ABS and other plastic tires on a properly geared car, you can expect 1 minute of runtime per 100maH of battery capacity. For example, I get about 30-40 minutes of runtime when I use my GP 3300maH batteries in any of my cars when set up for drift.

The best car is usually the one you have

High speed drifting is best with nitro and uber hard foams (read brick)
