I have a stock nexus with a MDS38

I am new to heli's but have been flying aircraft for tweenty years.

I have not had any help and have taught myself how to fly it, but don't really understand yet how the thing flies !!

My problem is when I go to fly it around the sky it keeps nodding (if that is the right term), back and forth. I have also noticed it when hovering but not as much.
I think it happens at a certain rpm, but can't be sure.

Any help

You need to find someone with some heli experience to help you. I suspect your head speed is to low. You will learn a lot from anyone who has experience. They will help you get the correct head speed and correct pitch adjustments so you can hear what the proper head speed sounds like. Your problem can be the results of many different setup imperfection. Learning proper setup is very important to be successful in this TOO MUCH FUN hobby. There are those who went it alone and made it, but they are far and few between.

When you say nodding, do you mean that it has a slow shake up and down (nose)? If it is a slow wobble where the nose is going up and down the head speed may be to low, the main shaft is not strait, pitch rod guide is molded off center, upper and or lower bearing blocks are loose, blades are to tight in the blade grips, bent fly bar, the plastic bearings inside of the tail boom for the wire drive have moved and the wire is whipping.

To help solve this, is there any other heli pilots in the area? THe only reason I have listed this many items is because ALL of them have happened to me.

Things to try. Increase the head speed and see if the wobble is better or worse. Check for any loose nuts, screws and bolts. Check to see if the main blades are not warpped.

Try some of these and let us know how itis going.

Dru.
