Do i need to cut the body to accomodate the optional engine guard that came with Savage X?
I installed it and the body that came with Savage X does not seem to fit. Please advise.

Thanks

Yes, you will need the trim the body, the rough lines are on the underside of the body, but I had to enlarge the hole. It's basicly cut and test.

you might want to cut some holes in the windshield too.
for better cooling. some guys say no you don`t have to do it.
saying it gets enough air under the body.
but i cut the whole windshield out for better air flow and plus i
can my hand in there to shut off the RX with the body on.

Mine does not have any holes in the windshield and here during the summer the average temperature is 95 to 100 degrees. My engine runs between 220 and 250 degrees. Being able to turn the eclectics on and off is a nice idea. Where is the switch at on the new X? Is it like the older Savage?
