Hi,
I'm new to RC sailing and I just bought something on ebay and I don't know what it is. This is the only photo; 34"L 10.5W. Is it wood? The seller has no clue.

If the seller hasn't got a clue, than it's very hard for us to know what it might be from such a small picture.

Judging by the shape, it might be at least a wooden superstructure.

Just wait 'till the postman rings, I guess...

Regards, Jan.

Looks like it's from the late 70's to mid 80's based on the style of the rigging. Why don't we call this sailboat the "X" craft?

Thanks for the input. I sent a list of questions to the seller. The first thing I'll do is take some better photos to share. There was a "buy it now" for $59, $18 shipping just listed and I took a chance. I was looking at the Nirvana II, but I don't plan to race yet. I have a full size buccaneer but this should be fun on the pond out the back porch. Can't wait to follow-up.

Looks like some home built design, like a skiff. Probably a good lazy day sailer, doesn't look much like a racer.
