Status: offline 		I was given a 9.6v charger for nicd and nimh batteries, and want to know if I can charge a 7.2v batt pack with it safely if I change the plug ends to match the packs. If so do I need to put a volt meter on it for monitoring or will the pack blow?

Status: online 		The voltage will probably be fine, and you may need to measure the current so you know how long to charge , right?
