I have the Picco P3-28 in my Kysoho Inferno GT and it has a growl like I've never heard before in any engine and it means business. It pulls from every part of the RPM range. For tuning, it is actually dead-on out of the box with factory settings, and just needs leaning out after break in. Even with short gearing, I've yet to get the thing to max out and redline. I need to hit one serious long run somewhere - so she has got whicked power and redline. This is a pissed off, angry Italian screamer at about 200 bucks in the U.S.

Now, not having seen/driven the NovaRossi, I can't' compare straight up, but the NovaRossi is a high-end screamer, which goes for 350 bucks in the U.S. I'd say the NovaRossi is probably for a serious racer only, baed on rep alone. It probably adds that last 5% racers crave. Now, one must decide: 150 extra for the N-R....or pocket that dough and get the Picco?

Lovin' my Picco P3-28. I don't race the GT, so I TigerDrived the Picco.

I'm only a half dozen tanks past break in on the P3-28. Tuning seems too easy as this point. The factory settings were great for break-in, then I leaned out the high speed for performance after the break in period. (Note, I am seeing whicked performance at 220 and I should go leaner to get even crisper performance.)

I am running at 220 degrees w/ ambient outside temps at 85. After break-in and dialing in the high speed needle for performance, I tested the low speed by gunning off the line. Sure enough, it was a little rich as it should have been from the factory - didn't seem clear. One tweak of about 1/8 turn on the low speed and she is clear and clean from a stand still. Idle was just a hair low when it was rich during break in. Now that it is broken in and the high and low are set, I don't even need to touch the idle screw.

There was absolutely no 'chasing' going on with the tune. Picco set it right from the factory for break-in. I leaned it out, then tested the off-line response, made that tweak and she's done.

Also, it uses a composite carb that won't cook your nitro, as the composite material stays cool. Comes with 8mm carb insert, and the 7mm or 9mm are available as parts.
