Hey CEN maybe you could help me out with this and save me some time and effort, I am going to find a stiffer servo spring, I was wondering if you could give me as many dimesions as possible on the stock spring. Mostly just the I.D, O.D, Length, maybe the load required to compress the spring? I know I ask for alot......

Oh yeah I forgot it's a genesis......

You can run it down untill you get coil binding, but that defeats the purpose of the spring. If cen happened to know the specs off hand that would save me the trouble of mic'ing the spring and finding the load specs myself. The height of the spring is not going to change it's compression rate, so pre-loading with washers I don't believe will help much. But thanks for trying to help...

The situation is, I am going to try the aluminum steering assembly from GPM, now the benefits of that will not really be seen untill I get a stiffer spring and a very good servo.

for those stock big wheels your going to need that gpm assembly or find a stiffer spring. you can try the spring on the A.E. steering kit i have that kit on my mgt and its very stiff and its a full metal saver setup and turns stock wheels with ease with a 200 OZ servo. i have the jr z9000t 330 oz torque on my nemesis with the saver tightined completely down it will turn the 40 series with ease will standing still. but when i put on stock 55 series it wont the spring always gives on the servo saver. i think the metal saver might be the way to go i wouldnt waist money shoping around trying different springs.

from looking at the spring it looks to be a standard size like those found on any 1/8 scale buggy servo saver
