Hi,
Just ordered my first 85" yak. If i use a Hi-tech HS5955TG for the rudder will it cause a problem with the balance of the model. Engine is a DA50 with muffler. What would be a good choice of servo for the other flying surfaces.

I used JR 8611's all around. As QQ recommends. I have all the control authority you could ever ask for.

Hi there,

Your question is covered in another thread but to give you an answer, using 5955 won't cause any balance issue, so you are free to use it. Remember Hitec has two servos that are really similar but one is used for Robots. I think 5955 is for plane and 5995 for robots, just make sure you use the one that is for planes. 8611 will give you the best performance and authority but I have heard many people using Hitec 5945 with success too.

Thank you,
Reza

Mine is setup with 5955 on rudder, and 5945s on everything else, and it is perfect. I prefer the 5955 to the 8611a, the programming features are very nice, it's performance is every bit as good as the 8611a, and it doesn't have the nasty buzzing that the JRs do.

Hi Guys

Many thanks for your answers. Well the 5955 and 5945's it is then. Good to know that people are using these servos without any issue.
