Given what's discussed on the thread I posted above, I guess it will really be a good habit to have a log book of flight times for the DF and a score card for each battery so when the time comes for us to troubleshoot, we'll know our equipment's history. This will give you an idea when to start buying replacement parts like motors ahead of time and avoid being grounded awaiting delivery.

Can somebody post here the list of essential parts that needs to be replaced when the motors are worn out already? Plus what are the other parts that need to be replaced every so often to keep our flyers in good condition??

The motor comes with the brass drive gear and the filter capacitor. I replace the rotors gear and bearings when I replace motors.
It's cheap insurance and then everything in the drive system is new.
4 motors, 4 bearings, 4 rotor drive gears, Total cost about $92.00.... Peace of Mind...Priceless...

Yes Clement, the flight log is a must to track the hours spent on the motors and parts. Lacey's got the right idea too about replacing main gears when changing the bearings and motors.

Also, I lube the main gears with light machine oil. Similar to the type used in air nailers. The gears will not wear as much and run smoothly causing the motors to not run as hot.

Cheers,
