Status: offline 		Hi, so after a month of deciding which monster truck to get (Savage X, 4.6, Genesis, or T-Maxx 3.3), I've decided was the best for my price range (~450) and told my local Hobby shop to order it. Also, my brother had a little more to spend so he bought himself the Savage 4.6. I've been lurking here for some time now and I've understood that the Savage X's top speed is about 38 and the 4.6's 45. I would like to keep my future savage up to par with my brothers and I've also heard here that a simple HPI clutchbell will add 10mph (true?) and select spur gears will add some speed. I plan to replace the stock pipe with the one of the 4.6. So I ask you will these three items make the X compete equally with the 4.6 and if so I would really really appreciate the correct cluchbell and spur gears' item numbers. Any help would be appreciated. And as you can tell, this is my second nitro and first monster so im a n00b Oh and these trucks wont really be bashed as much as driven backyard or street.

Status: offline 		the 4.6 has a bigger motor. in a drag race you will lose. on a track it is 90% driving ability ie. whos the better driver. you should do the suspension mod and get the steering bearings and a hs 645 hitech servo for steering to make the x track worthy.

Status: offline 		also you can get the new hellfire 4.6 high output motor its faster than the stock 4.6
