Status: offline 		Greetings All....I am a newbie to RC and just bought a used NTC3 off of Ebay this past week. I think I got a pretty good deal on it, and figured a used car would be a good first car for me to make sure I like the sport as much as I think I will. Anyhow, my NTC3 came RTR with 5 bodies, and three sets of tires. There is a new set of rubber tires that have never been installed, or at least driven on, and two foam sets that are in pretty worn shape, at least IMO and one of which came installed on my car. I am slowly getting the hang of driving in the parking lot across from my house, where the local club races each week. I figured get the hang of driving before going down and racing.

The foam tires are worn (small cracks) around the edges but seems to have pretty good tread left. Are these tires worn out because of the cracks, or are they ok while I am still learning the basics? I dont plan on using the rubber ones yet until I get more control under my belt. Once I get good control I plan on using the rubber tires for bashing, and buying a new set (or two) foam tires for racing when the time comes.

Also, on some of the spare rims with the extra foam tires the plastic is cracked and missing some plastic from bashing I assume. Should I through those away, or are they ok to keep for bashing?

Last question: What is the average life for foam and rubber tires?
