I'm building a Top-Flite Cessna for my father and was wondering if the Robostrut was worth considering. Is it purely for looks or would it be useful in a rough landing? It's an expensive add-on if its just for looks.

Thanks for any replies.

Hi,

A friend of mine and I are each building one of these, as we speak.

Both of us have chosen the #654 Robostrut and I think it's worth it. This not only adds to the looks, but as soon as you put it on the kit, you'll see the change in realism. This will keep the model from bouncing around so much on the runway, and it's a very robust piece of work. A little expensive, but I'm happy we got them. I've attached a photo, and there is a complete "start to finish" pictorial on my non-commercial web site, on the construction of this kit, along with links to other Cessna builder's progress. Just go to my site at www.nextcraft.com and click on the "Projects" button.

Thanks for the input, I think I'll go for it.
Great site! I'm also putting in the cockpit kit but passed on the light kits, I put some lights in an Extra 300 a while back and didn't feel it was worth the effort. I'm sure I'll be visiting your site often during the construction for motivation. Thanks again.
