i got this heli too...
i like them as they fly very nice as you would expect from a JR.it probable does fly a tad more nicer then my raptor 50 as the JR bird has ccpm. i dont have the 3d canopy on it though as ive put mine in a graupner jetranger fuz...

the tail wag you are having could be a couple of things but the most likely is that your idle up (1 or 2 or both ) has got a to high gyro gain. the gyro gain values will be slightly less sensitive on faster head speeds so set each flight mode up separately is probable the easiest way..

next check that your gyro or servo isnt loose, check belt tension, slop in torque pushrod and tail assembly and check for noisy bearings on not just the tail but on rest of moving parts but id only bother with that if all else fails as i try to do simplest 1st ect .
any vibration on the heli where ever it comes from will upset your gyro sensitivity and can play a few tricks on your gyro so if you think your heli is getting more vibration then you expect then i would obviously try to locate the problem and sort it. hope you sort it

as i said above tho turn the gain down on that flight mode and program each flight mode separately.as each flight mode will need different values.if you turn all the flight modes down then when you come to hover mode your tail wont hold so nice as it does already (that is unless you are having the tail wagging in hover too )

the other stuf i mentioned is to do if this fails to sort it but as me n barracuda say its very likely the gain value to high !

what transmitter you got i suppose JR too yes ????
on my transmitter the gain starts at 100 % and you can either increase or decrease the values. im not sure how JR manage the gyro values. its quite annoying some times as my other friend in my club flys with a JR and we can rarely share digit numbers from our radios as mine is a futaba so we both obviously have to do all our guess work our selves. not that its much of a problem as each heli is different to the next but just would be nicer for us all to compare ect..
it sounds like youre doing the right thing though..

danm, its raining in USA then .. we used to get rain here in the UK every day and the whole day but we are having a drought so perhaps you have got all our water..perhaps all from the USA will want to come to UK for some sun ...lol,,,,

sorry i didnt understand the sentence above,,,i read it 1st as 'my ale went all over '
ale is a type of beer in Brittan,,,lol

hope this is the answer to your question above ..
if your not sure then if your gyro will work both ways then the easiest test is to turn both radio and heli on(dont start engine ) and after the gyro has initiated just move the tail both left n right. you will be able to tell if the gyro is counteracting the torque on the tail then in both directions.

btw if your realy not confident to fly it with the gyro still not being programed in you can do this as it will save the model..
just bolt/strap somehow the heli to the floor or table or ground even but let the heli be able to rize to say perhaps 10cms or so and also so the tail wont spin right around say alow it to be able to turn quarter or a turn i think will do.
then fire her up and just adjust the tail/gyro accordingly.

i did a flight today and its not waging anymore ....now i have to reajust the motor at 1/2 throdle it has good speed but when i give it more throdle it slows down and the motor boggs ? guess its a nitro thing and i have to get use to it

do you mean it is ok at half stick but much over that your engine boggs down or do you mean it boggs down almost at the top ?
you want a pretty steady curve on throttle and pitch till you almost get to the top which then you can have a little bit more pitch on top but if you prolonged the top stick your engine mustnt sag..its kind of hard for me to describ but i think youll get it...

if your engine is sagging below say 3 quarters stick then you most probably need to either reduce your pitch point 3 or 4 and perhaps both of them (assuming you have a 5 point pitch selection ) or increase your throttle at the same points... it is best to try to get both the throttle and pitch values as linear as possible..

you also might just benefit from adjusting your servo links and push rods ect (best to have them in 90degree at mid points) but i think you really only need to worry about that later when your turning to the 3d side of helis..
happy helli razing
