ORIGINAL: bgold When you run dual batteries, regulators and switches do you just plug both into the receiver and then does the flight pack draw from both batteries simultaneously. Another question, what is the idle speed of a DA-50, 23 x 8 NX prop CY has already given you the answer to this and it's the Smart-Fly BatShare. It's got a diode setup to prevent any problems with the possible failure of one of the batteries/circuits being able to take down the other since both power leads plug into the rx buss, without the diode that could happen. It's not a common failure by any means but it's kind of nice to have it IMHO. The other thing is that it will balance the current draw from the two packs. Without that feature dual battery systems will usually draw down one pack more than the other. While it is not common to see dual battery systems in this size model for reasons noted by others, my discovery of the switch going bad on my current 50cc size model is what prompted me to go dual with this Bunnie. There are those who do not think dual setups are necessary for anything below 35% size models and that's probably true, but my 33% Edge (another brand) has dual batteries and when I started looking at weights for dual batteries on this model there wasn't much of a weight penalty, just a higher price tag for electrical power. In this case with the dual Li-Ions I'm looking at about $130.00 (Battery, regulator, BatShare, switch) extra for the setup and as I said, with a couple of grand in the model that doesn't seem unreasonable to me. Oh, for the poster who is across the "Pond", Smart-Fly is available for you too. If they don't have a dealer somewhere near you (IIRC they do have some outside the USA) they will ship internationally...
