Got that on the trim, I'll move my mix to 5 or 6. One other question on the DX7, so I want to mix in some rudder to elevator, I started to do this with a mix, but the mix choice is rudder to elevator or rudder to aux2, which contols only on or the other elevator half. How did you get around this?

Thanks in advance!

On the mixes you can define individually the master and slave channels, they just have those in there as a starting point. You can change all that very easily.

See page 56 of the manual, it shows you how to set up a mix.

Hey Guys,
My Extra 300 arrived today, what a nice aircraft . One end of the aluminum wing tube was damaged (scuffed up and egg shaped on one end) and will not fit the wing panels. The other side is fine, does anyone that went to CF have a wing tube for sale cheep , if so, please PM me with any details.

slowly working out my right yaw on uplines. After taking up some slack on the pull pull system - uplines were greatly improved.

But, I can't seem to get equal "tightness" in the pull pull system. Left deflection will leave the right cable a little slack with the left cable tight. Right deflection both cables are extremly tight.

Distance from hingeline to center of cable fitting is the same. Using AW 3" straight arm - no crossover.

Initial setup - centered arm - centered rudder - attached cables - both about equal tightness - but I have the difference in pull pull cable tightness from left to right rudder.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me the distance from the firewall to the cowl face [ where the spinner bacl plate is] ? I have a RCIgntion G-62 lite that is still looking for a home. After seeing the quality first hand of the WildHare planes in Toledo I,m thinking the Extra would be a good airframe. I,ve also looked at the AeroWorks and Extreme Flight Extras but they are both $200 more. I,ve got a bunch of hardware already lying around that could be used as well.
Thanks for any info.

thx Dave

Thanks Greg,
The G-62 lite is 6-3/4" with the custom mount so it will bolt up easily where as the Aeroworks Extra will need to have the firewall cutdown 1/2" which I,m not really all that crazy about doing.
The WH Extra G-62 lite should come out 10oz heavier than yours but should still fly nicely at 16lbs 14oz. Any thoughts on areas to loose some additonal weight?

thx Dave

Dave you can always save weight with CF parts, gear, wing tube, etc. However these weight this bird is a floater like you wouldnt believe... I would not worry about your projected weight at all.

I think its best to go strait with the pull pull wires on this plane. If you decide to go pull pull the 3 inch arm is what you would want for the stock slots for the wires in the fuse like in these pics.

The slots are pre-cut, just feel around. They're there.

A bright light on the opposite side will help reveal the slots easily enough..
