Reza,
What size servos are required for the 73" Yak? (oz/in) I tried downloading the manual but can't get it to work on my pc. I have some Futaba 3010's that just came out of my newly re-kitted Jerry's Big Boy and wanted to know if they were enough.

Specs..

4.8V 72.2 oz-in. 0.20 sec/60°
6.0V 90.2 oz-in. 0.16 sec/60°

I run Fromeco Li-Ion batterys and regulators at 6 volts.

I also have a Futaba 9151 digital to use on the rudder.
4.8V 131.9 oz-in. 0.19 sec/60°

Thanks,

GB

Hi GB,

Rudder is OK but others are not strong enough. Don't use those servos. Get at least 130 oz and DIGITAL!

Thank you,
Reza

Thanks Reza,
Thats what I thought anyway, but wanted to make sure. I think i'm going to let Randy (randy racer) be the guinee (Sp???) pig for this one since he's putting a 3W 28 in his. My JBB had a 3W-24 that i'm trying to get broken-in. (It flamed out on me at a bad time, resulting in the re-kitting of the airframe.) If all works out well and he likes it, I will probably do the same. I'll also install JR 8611a servos on all surfaces. The futaba servos I have were allready in that big boy when I got it.

Thanks again Reza,

GB

i hope to have the 73 ready to fly in a week or so. after building 2 102"s in the last 5 weeks i need a couple of days away from the build table and some time at the airfield. i will keep you posted.

GB, it's about time you stepped up to a QQ yak. go ahead and get the 73" on the way we will figure out what engine to use.

Will the Jr sport 125 Mg or hitec 645 Mg work because that is all I have at this time.

what are the specs on those servos? always use the best servos you can afford, it's like putting $$ in the bank. the plane will fly better and longer, and when it's time for a rekit you will have good servos to put in the nest and bigger QQ yak.
