Hi fellas,

Since I moved to the US (L.A.,CA) I am having difficulty to find the right place. Does anyone know a place around L.A. where people do FSR-V?

Thanks,

zee

Zee, americans don't know what a FSR-V boat is

It does not have a surface prop, does not have a rooster tail and is not the fastest boat on the planet so they have no interest in them either.

Subject has been up for discussion a couple of times and threads have degenerated into "mine is faster than yours" arguments. Last thread that had promise was deleted after it got out of hand. What was saved from the deleted post

My advice, find a local club and run your boat. If other people see the boats in real life it may spark interest.

Try the Hansen dam area. I read that many model boaters use that area. I can't give you specifics on the location but being that L.A. is where you live I am sure you can find it.
I think it is in the Valley to the left of Sepulveda Blvd as you go into the valley from West L.A.

The primary racing organizations in the US are IMPBA, NAMBA, and APBA. I don't live on the left coast, but I believe that NAMBA has the largest presence in Cali. Here's their web site: http://www.namba.com . While you won't find FSR-V, perhaps they will have something that you can enjoy.

Thank you all fellas,

I'll check the links and the Hansen dam area, specially liked the the note about "mine is faster than yours arguments", very funny , but I know now it is not a joke.
I started FSR in 1980, I was about 10, and I had a very very good time with all the opponents, they were very friendly at all times, they even helped each other by giving their best props or anything they could share just to have a good time while racing on the water. I hope I can find something similar here too.
Thanks again!

I think you'll find similar things here. I've had people give or loan me a variety of parts including nuts, bolts, props, starter belts, and even engines and pipes.
