I have a brand new ys .45 that i am just breaking in. I have a macs tuned pipe that I am using and i think i have the header cut to the right length. My problem is that after i run the engine and i shut it down the carb almost looks like it is starting to fill up with fuel. i guess the presure from the tank is forcing fuel in to the carb. I thought the regulator prevented this from happening? is my regulator bad? Also after i shut it down and then start it back up it acts like it is rich. I have to lean out the needle valve and then richen it back up after it starts running correctly. Another problem is that i burned up three glow plugs tuning the pipe. and it seemed like it happened after i let the fuel run completly out of the tank. would this cause glow plugs to burn up?

It sounds like you have multiple problems.
First, the plunger in the regulator is leaking and causing fuel to leak into the carb. It might have some debris which is keeping it from sealing.
It sounds like the pipe is too short. You can check for this by putting a smaller prop on it. If it runs OK and transitions OK then the prop you were running is too big (you didn't say what size prop or type of fuel you were running).

i am running a 10 x7 apc prop an 15% nitro fuel. i think what might be happening is that so much fuel is leaking into othe carb that when i start it up it has all of that fuel in the carb and it takes it a second to burn it up. cause after i run it and use that fuel in the carb up it runs and transition very good.
