FG Monster Truck:

Length: 28.8"
Width: 20.4"
Wheelbase: 18.8"
Tires: 8.4" x 4.6"

MCD Monster Truck:

Length: 30.4"
Width: 22.4"
Wheelbase: 20.4"
Tires: 8.8" x 5.4"

So the MCD is 1.6" longer, 2" wider, has a 1.6" longer wheelbase, and has tires that are 0.4" taller, and 0.8" wider.

Exactly!

The MCD's all have 4 different ride hight settings.

The lowest setting on the Race Runner buggy to me looks to be about the same as a FG Marder. Look at my 3rd and 4th post for some pictures showing the car at this level.

The highest setting will give it about 4" of clearance. And that's on the buggy. Adding MT tires would lift the MCD another inch.

I plan to raise the suspension on mine, and will post some more pics when I do.

Status: offline 		Not even an exploded diagram?!? I'm sure they used CAD and solid modeling computer tools to design the dang thing. You'd think they could produce an exploded diagram from the original drawings and modelings even if they had to contract it out to another design firm. Geez...

Status: offline 		If you contact the worldwide distributor - king cobra racing and ask Bob if he can help you out with parts lists and such, I'm sure he'd be only too happy to help. They have in stock a HUGE MCD Hummer, this thing is about 4 feet long and about 2 1/2 feet wide - IT'S HUGE.

p.s the vast majority of MCD drivers who race in the UK series use 3 multiplex rhinos for the car. They connect the battery like in the photo, the battery doesn't go in the box and is connected externally (yes I know it's not an MCD but you get the idea)

Status: offline 		Ya, I've dealt with both King Cobra, and Rossendale Models, and they are both extremely helpfull.

For the battery, I'm still going to see if I can rig up a way to fit 5 sub-c cells into the radio box.

For wiring the servo's directly to the battery, is there any real benifit as opposed to just running it all through the reciever? If a reciever can handle 6 volts, I don't see how just plugging everything would be an issue. I was planning on just hooking up the two steering servos to a "Y" harness, and then pluggiong it and the throttle/brake servo into the Rx (Futuba 3 channel FM).

Status: offline 		I think you miss understand, the battery is connected direct to the reciever and the servos plug in there too. as you say, there is no need to connect the servo to the battery unless it's the tonegowa that needs power.

Length: 46"

The thing is huge. It's wheelbase is almost the length of a FG!

Here's a pic of the "Monster" version. It has the MCD 8.8" tires. The "Standard" MCD Hummer has scale looking rims and wicked looking scale 7.6" x 2.8" tires.

Info is hard to come by so any additional info you have would be great. If you don’t mind telling, where did you get it and how much was it Canadian?

I see we are both in Calgary. I have a Baja it would be great to run with each other for comparison if you are up to it. There are a number of us that get together for some bashing on occasion. We bash in the NE in Country Hills behind the church. I am the only one with a gas car all the rest have Nitros, while they are tuning I am bashing having a blast. We should hook up I would love to see your MCD. Might look into getting one in the near future. Here is a link to the Calgary RC site look us up.
