What is a good product to remove poly-carbonate paint from a lexan body without destroying the body? Is this something you only get one shot at?

Well it depends on how bad you really want to remove it. I have painted a body with several colors then removed all of the paint and applied new paint. It was pactra paint.

Lacquer thinner is the only thing that will remove pactra paint, its gonna be a long very messy process but it can be done.
Make sure you have ample amounts of lacquer available while you are doing this. The paint will move while in the presence of the thinner, however once the thinner is gone the paint immediately adheres back to whatever its sitting on.

A toothbrush is good to use and some rags.

Once all the paint is removed the body will be very very cloudy, don't worry bout this as it will not be noticeable once the new paint goes on.

Yeah I know what you mean, I have heard of people actually melting bodies trying to use certain types of chemicals and so forth.
All bodies are not made of Lexan and are destroyed easily by some chemicals.

I used ezy off oven cleaner Lemon scent. IT loosened the paint well without destroying plastic. longer you let it sit easier it came off. Where a sergical glove to scrach at paint if you dont have patients to wait.

didnt soak it too heavily in fear of damaging the body. the paint is from a stock 1/10 losi xxx-t body. i simply applied easy off to a rag and tried some scrubbing but it didnt come off at all.

thats why it did'nt work. It won't wreck the body. You wanted an instant fix. spray the body directly and soak it good. let the oven cleaner do the work for you. It also works on the styrene bodies where you paint the outside body too.
