Status: offline 		has anyone had to adjust this[tighten] it? was piddling with it today and noticed the belt was[ i guess ] real loose. so i pulled the boom back about 1\16 inch to take up some slack. is this somthing i have to check every now and then??

Status: offline 		You don't want it real tight, but under low tension. This type of belt shouldn't stretch very much with use. They can run fairly loose and still provide positive drive. I'm usually replacing the boom before mine comes loose Too much tension puts undue stress and wear on the bearings and it take more power to overcome the extra drag. It probably isn't an issue under power but it may sap a lot of energy in an auto.
