Sorry, can't reccomend it! This is my 4.6 with the RD pipe on............

Two weeks later I'm back to the good old HPi Ribbed Tuned pipe as the RD pipe basically fell apart after several basic bashings. Nothing too extreme, just the usual small jumps and off road. I must have took it off 10 times to bend it back into shape. AARRGgggg!

Save your money and get a 45 degree Exhaust deflector.

Here is another rear exhaust set up.
http://tsais.com/products/exhaust/tunedpipes/mt/savage.html

The only thing abut these exhaust systems I wonder about is where the header goes into the tuned pipe the exhaust gasses have to make an abrupt 90 degree turn and wonder if they are as efficient as other systems?

Ok for heavy or light bashing, it's not recommended. I suppose if you have these on Savages built strictly for racing, it should be no issue unless performace wise it sucks...

Cyberfyn, can you comment on pipe performance since you used one already???

If you want a "dual exhaust", get a TSAIS CH5 pipe. It's the best dual stinger on the market.

I just bought this pipe new off eBay for almost $70 clams. I ran the truck for 10 minutes or so, took it off and turned around an sold it on eBay. It was really cool looking, seemed to help with power off the bottom and through the top but it was SO LOUD I hated it. It was actually painful to my ears. I ride dirtbikes and this thing had a sound that I wouldnt necessarily say was louder than my 250cc two stroke, but the pitch of the sound was absolutely annoying to me. If you want your Savvy to sound like a chainsaw.. this pipe would be fine. I think it is way over-priced for what it is.

Yeah, overpriced and VERRRRYYYYYYY Loud. Not an issue for me as I'm way out in the sticks. Does increase low end torque, looks cool and keeps the car clean though.

It is pricy for sure, but if you want that cool looking dual exhaust, you're going to have to pay to play.

I bought one off of ebay and put it on my truck. I personally like it. It makes my truck louder, I'm not cleaning the thing as often, and it looks cool. It took a lil time to re-tune the engine and I have already scratched the tips up pretty good but overall I think it was good buy. I was looking at the home made ones and tsais one too but the rd logics didn't look as cheap as the copper pipe and wasn't as exspensive as tsais one.

Glade you did not get the copper one, as it is a joke. What pipe where you running and does it perform better with the RD?

I was running the pipe that came with the SS kit. The truck was running really good with that pipe but it seems like the Rd gives a little more lift to the front end when I give it the gas. Other than that I haven't noticed much difference.....it was a month between runs though due to a major wipe out.

Get a TSIAS pipe.
Got mine for 50 bucks and it is sweeet!
NOt very loud either
just throw away the plastic tube it comes with and get a peice of 3/4 heater tube.
Trust me, you will regret putting on the plastic one.
Last like 2 tanks and it will blow out the side, then you have a freaking loud chainsaw sound on your hands, and a big mess down the rear of your truck.
I can probably post a pic if anyone is interested in seeing how I have mine mounted.
Let me know and i will get one on tonight
