For those of you who can't make it to the AMA Nat's this year, you can find out what's happening at next weeks pattern nationals by using the AMA news service link posted above.

Scores and reports will be posted the morning after each day's flying.

I can't help but wonder who will be in the winners pictures this year? Should be a big Nat's for the electrics vs glow?

Regards,

Eric Henderson - 2006 AMA pattern Nat's reporter.

Competitive flying begins on Monday July 17th.

Eric,

Yes, I would like to read the AMA pattern national news. I won't be able to attend this year. My prediction is that electric is going to be the winners not only in high classes but also lower classes.

Thanks for keeping us informed,

Vicente Bortone

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say electric will win at least 3 classes.

I think three wins for electric is a pretty reasonable bet. Wouldn't suprise me if all classes were won by E power.

Unfortunately, then many will assume you have to be electric to win. Definitely not the case.

I think the pilot will have more of a say in who wins, not what powers the aircraft.

I agree, but my prediction was based on what pilots I thought were going to win and what they are flying!...

Hi All,

I'm up here at Andrew's with Peter Collinson and we're getting ready for next week. I leave here tomorrow morning to Indy to get Dave Stodart and then off to practice some more. I think these guys are showing up on Sunday. Here's a few pics.

Well, if you could get a live satelite feed right now, you would probably see a small exodus of pattern flyers leaving Texas and heading North with a few straggles this evening.

Fixing to fire up the horses and gidy on outa here. See everyonein MUNCIE!!!

ok, can you tell its my first NATS. (grin)

Chuck

glow vs elect!!!

hmmmmmmm you knew this was coming. I like what my mentor said, Hanno pratner, on his worse day, could fly a brick and still beat everyone else. HMMMMM I think that says it all!...

our guys left tuesday stopping along the way to fly every afternoon. Last report was from a fantastic field in Amarillo Tx on Thursday .

Props to the guys at Texas for allowing our guys to fly there!

I hope one of these days they will start rotating the nats from midwest to eastcoast and to westcoast. I beleive there are a ton of
excellent flyers out there on the east and west coast that just cant afford the trip, for various reasons!!! but could possibly beat those BIG NAME Flyers.... HMMMMMMMMM.

but if someone wants something bad enough he will make a way.... my goals is 2-3 years for the nats, I not ready yet as a pilot but I am working on it.
