I dunno about blowing up, nitro fuel isn't overly volatile like gasoline, But I do forsee a lot of burned fingers.

I Don't know if anyone has ever done this but me and my dad needed to get rid of some old fuel so we tryed a few things!

1. Pooring it on the lawn to stop the Grass ( Got rid of the fuel but grass came back thicker )
2. Burning it ( It burns CLEAR so you don't see anything when it burns )
3. Bringing it to our local wast plant ( they wouldent take it )
4. Put it in my Go Cart ( Top Speed 61.5 Mph )
5. Tryed runnig it in my trucks engine ( Dryed out my BEARING )
6. Put it in moms car ( better Fuel milege + $250 Fine for Speeding )

Hope no kid trys to put fuel in his moms car Or Go Cart!!!

The flipping one ain't gonna work. Oh yea, it has no suspension.

One more thing, I bet a 100% bashing preped all aluminum with stock motor, street tires, radio, and ESC will beat it on the track.

HOLY CRAP, i've never seen somebody act like such an elitist about a friggin toy. Get over it, man, you're so mad you can't even type straight I can't understand a word you just said

I wasn't mad. Learn what your talking about. I just don't like the idea, its funny.

annie, the thing is...who cares? if you're not in the market, you're not who they want to care about it.

Me? I'll probably buy one of those trucks. they don't look half bad. If I do break it, I seriously WILL take it back to Wal Mart and exchange it just like I did my Nylint rock crawler, and do it all over again. let's see you do that with my Savage

I mean, everybody wants a reliable nitro car...who knows...maybe it'll even take my Savage's place as my most-driven truck

you remind me of the elitist Jeepers that have seen me and my Liberty at the trailhead. "Mall-crawler" and such are comments I'm used to hearing...I've owned a couple CJ's and loved them but...

I tell them "It's got air conditioning and a warranty, what does YOUR Jeep have?"

Same kinda deal with the Hasbro cars.

How could this release be anything but GREAT for all of us in the hobby? It's called a GATEWAY vehicle...getting people into hobby shops.

Not understanding why some of you are knocking Hasbro's release when you haven't seen it or researched it, or considered its positive effects on the industry.

it just astounds me how much elitism there is in this thread.

THIS IS SPECIAL, UG GO PLAY WITH TOY CAR NOW.

You'd think this was a Rolls Royce forum and they just announced a $12,000 subcompact.

LOL!

It's the same thing in EVERY industry. It's called entry level. how about ford focus, chevy wave, optra, cavalier(cobalt) sunfire, dodge neon, toyota echo etc etc etc...

They are PURPOSELY cheaply made, but easy to operate and fairly reliable compared to higher performance vehicles.
Like infernos777 says it's something to get people interested in tho hobby. I mean, I had NEVER seen hobby grade RC cars until I saw them at a monster jam show. If I had seen them in Walmart, I would have been into them a lot sooner.
Although, there are going to be people who will be totally inot these cheaper cars and have them modded out and whatever... but to each his own.

Maybe rolls needs a 12000 car Introducing the PHANTOM Lite

Good thread. Lots of points being made here and that is the purpose of such a forum
I do agree that there seems to be a lot of elitism here as well.
Just keep in mind that for every hobby grade nitro car of truck out there, there must be many people who think that they may want to get into this hobby but can't, or don't want to, commit the funds. This may be a good way for some of these people to see if this is a hobby for them.
Look at what is happening to the electric RC helis this past year or so. For a long time, you needed a very large chunk of cash to get in the air. Suddenly the Blade CP and CX come out at a low price point with everything you need in one box. A lot of people bought these and gave up after denting a lot of walls in the livingroom or garage. Some, myself included, found it a good cheap way to try it before deciding that they liked it.
Now, I'm more then a thousand into a 450 class electric heli with all the trimmings. This is not something I would have done if not for the Blade CP.
Think of this as "Shareware" for nitro RC.
I'm just glad I don't work in a hobby shop when the kids start coming in to ask if they can put an 18ss engine in one or asking to buy an aluminum upgrade this or that.
