Alex,
You ask that we tell you what we think of your rant.
So I will, if you even bother to return and look for a response, which I kinda doubt.
You're naive, prejudiced and are simply spouting unsupportable "chicken little, the sky is falling" crap.
I got my first nitro powered vehicle at the age of 10. It even had a 6" propeller and flew. I managed to fly it, not hurt anyone including myself, and did not even burn down the house or poison the cat with the fuel.
There are people right now wrapping nitro powered rc's for 6 and 7 year olds, I guarantee it! Rc's that they bought from high dollar Hobby shops. As for breaking parts and spending more money...yes parts break and need to be replaced - on ALL rc's. Hasbro is even going to make replacements and have local stores (hobby stores) where they can be purchased.
And get over yourself, these things ARE JUST TOYS. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have to tell yourself something different, well, that's just sad.
Personally, I applaude Hasbro and hope they get their issues worked out and sell an absolute mountain of these things. Maybe then all the established rc companies will see that a viable rc can be made and sold for a reasonably amount of money.

here is a rant i had made on another site. but please do keep in mind it is pointed towards the crowd that is unaware of the nitro hobbyist community, such as parents buying stuff for 10 year olds.

this is absolutely ridiculous!
And on, and on, and on................
thank you,
Alex Mojica
and there it is. so, reply and tell me what you think.

Ron, I take exception to that comment. It has nothing to do with liberalism, or conservativism for that matter. I stand firmly in the middle ground politically, because I find it disappointing that so many need to compartmentalize everything they don't like and attribute it to the "other guy". Let's not make it anything to do with politics--let's face it, there are plenty of zealous stereotypical simpletons affiliated with every party.

Let's just get back to discussing R/C cars, shall we? There are plenty of other places to spout blame.

my XXXNT Adam Drake 2 or my Savage can stomp a mudhole in your Evader ST, what's your point? I could sit here and say your Evader sucks because it didn't cost as much as any of my RC cars. your argument holds no water

I liked it when nitro was small and nobody knew about it. I could amaze people with my car and make them stumble over each other to ask me questions. When this comes out I won't be able to do that anymore and that thought makes me very sad.
They should only be able to sell these in hobby shops.

Oh, right. --cause that would solve everything. It must be nice to belive in such a simplistic view. As I stated earlier, there are PLENTY of other places to throw mud around and try to convince everyone your political party is somehow better than the others. Fact is, both major parties are guilty of trying to undermine each other rather than cooperate to solve problems; anyone who believes otherwise has blinders on, and this ain't the place to discuss it anyway(per RCU forum guidelines). Can we PLEASE stick to R/C cars?

Has anyone read or heard any new information regarding the Hasbro/Tiger cars? I was really hoping these would have hit the street by now.

Crash, I kinda doubt they will. I'd bet that most people who will end up with these won't even have a clue that people competitively race r/c cars--except for the hobbyists that buy one as a cheap basher. There actually have been nitro powered "toy grade" r/c cars before, I had a Cox powered buggy years ago, never even thought to take it to a track. I've never seen another one like that Cox buggy I had....
