yeah, not much daylight around here now, flying can only be done between 11-15 o`clock (were it not for the wind and rain). I am about a 10 hour drive from the Arctic circle. I am just sitting here in the dark trying to be funny[;)]

Rosonol lighter fluid is composed of mainly one ingredient...Naphtha.

It can be purchased by the quart or the gallon at any good hardware store - it says "NAPHTHA" right on the can.

As far as using rc fuel in a Zippo lighter - within an hour of filling it you will have evaporated all of the nitro and left with primarily a mix of Methanol and Oil, then a day after that you will be left with simply Oil in the wicking.

The next refill will only dilute the Oil, until all your left with is a runny, oily lighter that stinks like Castor.

I just wonder, why not just use Zippo lighter fuel? It`s not like you use it by the gallons or???? Heavy smoker??[:D]

When fuel is left open, the methanol evaporates first. But even methanol evaporates slower than naptha. Look up the flashpoints and vapor pressures instead of making assumptions.
