If you lived closer I would sell you mine. Its a 9/10 powered by OS160.
Only reason I'd consider a sale is to fund another EF project

I would do two things.

1. Use the little fake engine baffle to ensure the air is going across the cylinder head.
2. Make sure you have twice as much exit area for the air as you have intake area.

Actully the latch did fall of one time but I fixed that, I just can't figure out why the canopy blew apart. I was doing a snap roll when it happend so I don't know if the frame twisted or what, but I always check the canopy to make sure it is latched properly. I'm stumped.

Also the canopy on my fathers plane falls off 50% of the time and it finally broke when it landed on a gravel road.

I dont know Crappie. Im at a lost to why it could be coming off. Is everything glued good on the canopy? the only way I see this canopy flying off if its properly latched is if it were to flex any. The tounges on the front still engaging?

I would suggest go with Brillelli 46,but...Since their no more that wont work for you.. I dont know if I ever heard of Thor motors?

How about a Brison motor? Prices arent bad and they run really well..

EF has them back in stock! My Yak is back on the building table after getting side tracked by a number of other projects.
What a lovely piece of work this EF Yak is!
Michaelh,
I don,t personally know anyone running the Thor engine although I,ve heard they are fairly popular in Europe, maybe someone from across the pond can chime in.
I also ended up scrapping my MVVS 45 as an engine choice the 22" props required just weren,t going to give me enough ground clearance for me to comfortably run a Mejzlic carbon prop.
I just recieved a BCMA 42 Pro [MT-42], with a pitts muffler, this engine is very nicely put together and will use a 20" prop. Plus the price right now is awesome at $325 shipped.
I,ll post some more pics shortly.

Dave
