Hello,

I am new to the R/C-ing world. I had a Tamiya Super Hornet RC that I built.
Since then I just built models. I am in the Computer Modeling now.

I wanted to get into the R/C-ing again and I enjoyed working with the Cars but wish to build a Tank.
I have some questions about the WSN T-34/85

The T-34/85 is a great tank but I like the T-34/76 '42 the best.
I would like to get the WSN and modify the tank.

First off I know I would need to get both WSN T-34/85 and the Trumpet T-34/76.

I would like to strip the insides of the WSN and update to Tamiya or HL (I do not wish to add the Tamiya Battle kit); but like to keep the sound and add different battery type and circuit.

What would you suggest?

Also, how difficult would be to which the turrents and change the wheels from the 85 to 76 on the WSN?

Last question; someone suggested using HL parts. Who is HL?

Check out my site, www.desertarmor.com. Look at the projects page and you will see the T34 I am doing. So far so good but I went a little crazy trying to get this the way I wanted it. If you want the 85mm version it is a much easier task.

Outstanding !!

How long have you been working on it?
I think I could do all of the mods but the turrent I am not sure.

The recoil (scratch built). I am not sure I would be able to build that.
I was thinking about adding the Tamiya gearboxes also to the tank.

Have you been running it lately?

Has anybody posted a MOV of the WNC T-34?
I would like to see the suspension, turrent, and tracking across the ground.

great project !

who is h. l. ? (heng long )
h.l. is the company that make copys of tamiya and they sell them for about 100$ with controller, bb`s shooting unit and charger (complete kit). if you play outside with them ,they can break, but easy to fix and the quality is better than wsn-trumpeter ,but no a tam.

here is a link of the h.l. model and accesories-parts great price (gears):

WSN -trumpeter t34 cosmetic details is as good if not better than tamiya's. so way better than HL.
but the electronics of trumpeter and HL are all junk.
running gears, hl and trumpeter are about same level.

18 months have been spent on this project. Most of that time went to gathering components from ebay and scratchbuilding. Once I got the electronics about two weeks ago the tank started coming together.

An easier conversion would be to add sherman guts and skip the recoil, but I never do anything easy.

First runs today were excellent. Both indoors and outdoors it seems to be working great. I have to tighten it up and I will be ready for detailing and priming.

Keep checking my site, www.desertarmor.com for the latest updates.
