Ok, so i just tested this out in my room on my almost new blade CX. I thought it would be cool to add running lights for flying in lowlight and dark (and also fog cuz theres alot of it where im from)conditions. Below are a list of parts (and in a bit tomarrow morning ill put up pics and weblinks to the parts.):

1X Panasonic CR2032 nickel cell batery (Radioshack)
1X Nickel cell battery holder (Jameco or likewise)
1X 1/4" (about) Micro Red LED
1X 1/4" (about) Micro Green LED
2X Misc Wires about 4 inches long.

Tools:
Soldering iron and solder
Superglue
Drill With slightly smaller than the LED sized drill bit.

Ok, not onto the real part. (Pics coming as soon as I unpack our digi camera from the move)

Steps:
1- Pull off both the landing gear.
2- Pull off the front canopy.
3- Pull out both rods and take off the rear fuselage.
4- Drill 2 holes (One per side) on the rear fuselage about 3/4 of and inch and 1/2 and inch down from the rear rod (where you attach the canopy).
5- Insert both LEDs (Red on the left, Green on the right; when the nose is facing away from you).
6- Solder both long ends of the LEDs together.
7- Solder both short ends together. (If you want too you can super glue the LEDs in after this step)
8- Solder wires to both of the previous solder joints.
9- Find out which wire is the + wire and which is the - wire.
10- Attack the + and - to the battery holder in the correct way (Check if the lights turn on).
11- Bring the batteryto the front right over the 4 in 1 and leave it there.
12- Put back together!

You're DONE!!!!!

I did this in all of about 10 minutes so its really not that hard, plus the lights look awesome! And this design can be put on any helicopter just make sure the placement is different.

Wait...no current-limiting resistors? Those LED's will be fried in no time.
