If you mean the RX antena. I cut the Rx antena to about 6'' and installed a Deans Whip antena right behind the canopy.
It has worked great for me,, so good that i ended cutting all my RX antena and istalling all whip antenas now.

i have them in PCM and FM RX and in both works great.

it's about 6'' I think I had it about 6 1/4'' before I added some weight to the tail wheel to get the CG back a bit more,,,but that might be too much,,I just like tail heavy planes,,,,pretty much all the planes I have are tail heavy,,,but that's just me.

Hi Charrua, loving your video. I cant decide what engine to get for mine. Some people are telling me the new Evolution 58cc and some say the DA 50. The Evolution 58 claim to have 8.4 hp, but heavier than the DA 50. What I want out of the engine is loads of power out of the hover. Does the DA give you this? Ah!!! help me decide!!!

I can't say anything about other brands of engine but you will hear this from lot's of people and I can tell you also from personal experience,,,DA IS GREAT AND IT HAS A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU EVER NEED SOMETHING.. I had to send mine in for a check up and they upgraded parts I didn't ask for and didn't have to pay for it and got my engine back within 1 week of sending it to them..

Talking about the Power I think it has plenty at least where I leave which is about 1000ft sea level using a 23x8 prop. it hovers about at less than 3/4 throttle and it has lot left over to pull out of it.
I think if I ever bough another Engine it would be another DA,,,,go for what people think,,if you find more people that like DA than the other brands get DA you wont be disappointed with it!!!

I'll back up what Charrua said about DA50. I have one in my Wild Hare extra and it does a excellent job. I had the ignition go out in mine(several years old) and I can tell you first hand, The customer service is great.

I'll echo the previous two coments. I have 2 DA-50's and they are both great! Plenty of power for that plane. The customer service is first class, really none better. Now if you are on a budget you could take a look at the Brillelli 46 but it won't have the loads of power you want. I have one of those also. It's a Poulan conversion done by a couple of guys in Minnesota. www.scottellingson.com it comes in a couple of versions with or without electronic ignition. He also has a purpose built 60 c/c. that is suppose to be silly with power. Also, customer service is excellent there also and they do stand behind their products.

Well, Iam glad you all say the same thing. My preference was the DA50, but just wanted to check. DA50 it is then, thanks guys.

Charrua, just seen your other video of your harrier practice. Do you use Spoilerons when doing the harrier?
Also what expo do you use for the ailerons and elevater?

Take a look at these videos if you havent seen them allready.

Well I used to use spoilerons until I alsmost crashed it because of it,,if you saw the video called CHARRUA TRIMS THE TREES that was the last time I used spoilerons,,,I just lernt how to do it without them.
the thing is if you get in trouble like I did and go full throttle and up elevator and have full spoilerons the plane wont go up but down and that what almost cost me the plane.
here's that video again: Video!!!

Talnking about Expo here's what I got now.

Low Rates: aileron 40%
elevator 20%
ridder 50%
High Rates ailerons 55%
elevator 60%
rudder 40%

hope that helps!!!
