Hi Dave,

Yes guys i'm still around n Connie is doing well too. I was out of picture for past 5 months as my father was and still is hospitalized and suffered severe case of namonia due to which he was in ICU for whole months of January n part of February also. His heart enlarged, kidneys failed, lungs failed and we were told, he will not make it medically this time unless miracle happens!. It sure did happen n now he has been recovering at very good rate considering what he went through, due which I was once again his care giver n was virtually living in hospital with him. Sorry Dave due to all we went through, Connie is not ready for maiden n I might not be at maidenfest either. I don't want to rush with it, or push myself with this model. Maiden will happen in August this year. Another reason is, recently on 23rd March Pakistan Government asked Counsel general here in Toronto to invite me with my Connie to demonstration for him and all dignities and invited guests on the occasion of Pakistan Day's flag raising ceremony, It was great honor for me to be invited, I went there did series of taxi demonstrations for everyone, all were highly impressed and Counsel General personally selected to give me "Certificate of achievement and recognition" in August 2013. With all this respect and honor, I will do maiden after the official ceremony done and i get certificate from government of Pakistan, I really don't want anything happening bad to the Connie. I hope you will understand my views and will be happy for me.

Trust me, doing a maiden will be a event itself and you will be there with many many others who want to witness it's first flight...

Love to see the Connie under it's own power, brings back memories of one that was used by the US Navy back in the mid to late 60's. Without saying what, where and all that was going on I remember seeing it taxi out almost every day and later on it would land where a jeep would go and meet it before it even reached the tarmac where film was transferred to the jeep and then to the photo lab. Next morning, unless something really important was on film, the pictures would cross my desk to be reviewed by a senior naval officer. The plane was a beauty and would love to build one myself, just don't have the get-up and go that I used to have. Great job, would love to be at your maiden flight

This certificate/award from Government of Pakistan is not just my award but It's an award representing whole Pakistani, Canadian and US rc aircraft modelers...

Last picture is from today's awards ceremony and others are from 23rd March when i was specially invited by Counsel General of Pakistan to do demonstration of this model to there invited dignities and guests. I was interviewed by 2 news channels who covered the event.

Today I received a call from one of few remaining Instructors and pilots who actually flew PIA's Super Connies back in 50's and 60's, I'm suppose to meet him on weekend and listen to his stories including my uncle who also used to fly these airplanes and through whom my family connection started with this legendary aircraft!

Time to complete this beast is finally here.....

A friend of mine is making custom wiring harnesses for Nav lights and landing/taxi lights. Once I get them, test them in the airplane then installation of flaps and retracts air lines will be left to do. Lower skin of center wing will be made with 6oz Carbon fiber weave cloth and epoxy resin. After that all servos will be installed finishing off this build.

What's best way to do CG on a large model as this is, any ideas from guys how you do on large model, I mean by hanging them or putting them on some cg stand.....what r my options on this....

Over the years, many people have wondered how the fuselage is from inside, well I hold them it's hollow with different wall thicknesses on top, sides and belly. Well here is your chance to see it for the first time....getting her ready for the flying, 2 long CF pushrods were placed inside the fuselage from the opening of the nose gear bay...

These will control both elevators and center rudder. Out board rudders will be controlled with servos mixed in with aux channels.

You can see both rods through a small access hatch under the horizontal stabilizer....
