Horizon Hobbies and I have been working on developing a program to replicate scale aircraft's multi engine start up and idle sequence. It took me many months to get to this level as I tried many different ways to achieve it but was unsuccessful until now.

Here is a video I made to show you who it works on DX18 transmitter, I have yet to bind the TX with RX to actually operate this feature in the reality. This is still in experimental stage at this time. There are 2 ways to doing this, manual or auto, presently TX is set with manual feature.

Here are close up shots of all the wiring, esc's and motors installed in the center wing section. Lower access hatch's made in the outer nacelles. Hopefully tomorrow all the left over connectors will solder on and all 4 motors will start at one time.

Looking good! Maybe I’m a worry wart, but do you want to stand in front of it running or put your body parts in line of the prop arcs?

He he he.....well the way wing is set on the table, that is only way to hold it, on idle to 30% throttle it's ok but when i wanted to see how far on up throttle I can go, I held it from sides, i was on one side and my brother was on other and at 75% things started to fly all over in the room.....

Official Roll out:

Here you go, a well captured historic moments in the life of this model by Pakstar Media in this awesome video.

On Saturday 15th December 2012 at 11am, My S Connie AP-AJZ rolled out and made its very first taxi trial on the street under it's own power!, it tracks straight as an arrow with superb ground handling performance at lower taxi speeds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MbpqzOZqcQ&feature=youtu.be

Pre-mature CG test was done.

Full throttle engine run up tests were also done.

Off course CG is not set at all, so eventually it will be be set at 27% of MAC respectively...

I feel great sense of pride and accomplishment to get to this level and it was not possible without help from many of my friends and others on here and abroad who helped me through out this most complex rc project so far in my carrier as RC scratch builder and modeler...

I hope you all will like it and your honest feedback will be appreciated...

Thanks 8178, I will be adding the sound system for sure only if i know where to get it from.

Plus these features will also be added on the model:

Brakes on main wheels

Reverse thrust on both inboards

Full navigation and landing lights

Functional cowl flap doors....

I will try to do all this including adding mechanical controller gear doors for nose and mains before maiden in the spring of 2013...

Sam,

Before you do all this can you tell me the taxi weight plus the missing cowls?

I'll do it today and will get back to later on.

Sam

G morning Timex,

She is whooping 25.25 lbs RTT at this time !!!!!

Fuselage with both lipos 11.5 lbs
Wings all 3 sections with tubes and cowls/spinners 13.75 lbs...

So she is where I wanted her to be weight wise at this time.

Reverse thrust test.

These tests were conducted before snow fall and it's been few weeks or a month ago.....

Model reversed unassisted under its own power....
