Danny, I have a problem, I currently fly the other guys brand radio and recever, (Futaba). My buddy who flys al JR talked me into a 8611a for the rudder of my Quique 85" yak. I have had this servo in another yak and it worked great. All the other servos in the aircraft are HiTec 5955. Now the problem, I have this on the rudder, if I deflect the rudder quickly and release the sticks, the rudder will jitter bad. If I move the rudder to the left or right, and bring it back into center, it will be steady. Sometimes just turning on the powerbox will cause it to start jittering. The complete setup is, Fromeco 4800 LiOn, 6v reg, EDR 111 Pwr box with built in amp for the signals. Futaba 319 synth rec, Futaba 9 channel synth radio. It never did this until recently. any ideas? Thanks....

I would check for any slop in the control system, arm fit on the servo, and gears for any excessive play. Also I would recommend checking all your servo connections (unplug them, re-install a couple times to be sure the pins are clean and making good contact). Also check your current draw with an amp meter to be certain the current draw is not excessive. Also be sure that your servos are not mounted too rigidly (servo screws too tight, mounting rails tight against the servo, etc). If the oscillation stops by touching the surface with your finger, it is likely a slop, set up, or electrical issue. If it does stop, it won't happen in the air due to flight loads, but I would recommend giving everything a good checkover.

It does stop with the touch of the finger. I put a little tension on the rudder cables and seemed to stop. There is a little play in the drive train of the servo, but nothing excessive. Thanks for the info..
