Are any of these flying, or they too new to be out?

I have a BME 110 with stock mufflers and would like to one of these in Sportsman IMAC, would balance be a problem?

I know everyone says, if you plan for it it will balance, horse feathers!!!!!!
The last Extra it was in, I put carbon tail tubes ran NIMH on the firewall for ignition, and still had to add nose wieght.
Just asking an honest opinion.

Thanks for any info,

Julius,

As of right now the prototype 35% extra 300 is the only one in existance. The 35% 300 would be a great airplane for any IMAC class and will do 3D with the best of them. We have had a bunch of TOC and Masters pilots fly the 300 and all of them are raving how well it flies so I think we have a winner.

As for the balance with a BME 110 I think you would be ok because right now in the prototype with a DA 100 we have the batteries and rudder servos at the very rear of the hatch, if you were to move them up one bay I think it will balance with the 110. If anything it will be a minimal amount of weight.

Kevin

The more order we get the faster it will be, we were told three months from the time we give them the ok. So for those that are interested the sooner you pre order the sooner you will have it.

What does the bottom look like?

Are there any differences in the fuse between this and the 330? The hatch looks identical, though the landing gear mounting is obviously different.

Any chance of doing a single seat version of this (ala 260?). I'd go for that.

Here is a picture of the bottom, for some reason in the picture it looks like the lines are not straight on the wing but they really are.

As for the Fuselages they are different but do share some parts such as the hatch. Also the production models will probably have no counter balances on the elevators unlike the prototype.

As for a 260, I would say there are enough of them already on the market and honestly we feel the 300 is a smoother, truer flying airplane, thats also more pleasing to look at.

Any update? I would like to get a PAK, but if it comes out too late I won't have it ready for next season.
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,

At this point it looks like spring sometime. If your open to options take alook at the PANZL. It flies like and EXTRA but 3D's like an Edge.

There are acouple of threads running on diffirent websites. All the guys are amazed by how well they fly. Start a thread and just ask.

Thanks. Kinda like the 300 though. I am familiar with the Panzl. I helped with the build on Edge's panzl and also got to fly it. Good flyer.
Thanks,
Craig

I am not ready to order or pre-order but will be looking for a new bird within a month or so.
Have these planes been ordered from the factory yet?

I'm thinking about getting one. I love the new 35% Extra scheme, but I like the way the Panzel flys... At this point, I'm still waiting on the Extra. Besides, Al's shop is only 1 hr from my house, so I can save on shipping.

When Don took out the dihedral on the wings of his 40%, he noticed some improvements. Will the production on the 35% (future 40%)going to adapt such change?

The caliber of pilot Don is, he may notice slight changes. The 330 in its current configuration has won the Ulimited Nats, Competed in the last TOC, Last 3 Masters and all of the Tucson Shootouts. It has won many IMAC competitions in all classes since its introduction.

Don is currently flying a highly modified 300 (midwing) prototype. To my knowledge his modifications have not been flown by any of our other sponsored pilots or by us so we can get additional feed back. As with any product we rely on the feedback of our customers. We constantly make improvements to our designs and building. Some are noticable and others are not. Depending on flying skills and setup some of these may or may not be noticable

The current 35% planes we manufacture and have prototyped are set in the current design, The best pilots in the world have flown them already and have been very pleased.

The 35% Extra 300 was just shipped out to Phoenix for the Electric Festival later this month where Hacker will be installing an electric motor and batteries in it.

Andrew Jesky will be putting on a flying demo with it.
