Just getting started so be gentle... I just ordered an SK .50 for a trainer I am building...Since this is my first time to break in an engine I wanted to ask for some help... I have read that the SK engines have low rpm, but have lots of torque...and to use a bigger prop, 12x5 on a .50...the website says 11x6 rpm at 2500-12000...and a prop range of 10 x 8-12 x 5 very confusion, when they, SK, tell you to run a 12x5 for best performance, but give 11x6 as a test range and a prop range of 10x8 to 12x5... Questions: If the SK 50 does not run well with smaller props like an 10x8, or even an 11x6, like many have stated in this thread, why do they recommend them? Best break in procedures without "4 stroking" Should I use an 11x6 to break in the motor, or a 12x5 or does it matter? Best fuels to run the .50 on? Adjust peek rpm and not max rpm...maxing it at break in can lean it and fry the engine...(I dont have a tach) any other suggestion would be appreciated! Thanks in advance
