I ran Foxes for years in both control line and RC, starting with a 4-bolt Fox .35 back in 1952 followed by many Fox Combat Specials. I had a couple of Fox .45s, an ABC .46 and a couple of Fox .50s. I used the .50s in a twin. I also had one .61, so I am plenty familiar with Foxes. I flew the SK .91/Ultra Stick for 2 flights this morning using a Zinger 15-6. Good thing I'm running big wheels because a 15 inch prop is pretty long for the normal UltraStick set up. I had it set like I usually set my engines, slightly rich leaving a little smoke trail in flight. It had plenty of pull giving the old, repaired (it has plywood sides) and heavy Ultra Stick good vertical. It has plenty of power for a vertical 8, even at partial power. I did notice some leaning out in outsides, both outside squares and outside round loops and in eights. This sounds to me like I had the tank set too high for the OS and the SK doesn't need it. I do have the battery under the tank so I'll move the battery and lower the tank. It needs more rear weight, anyway. As has been mentioned, it won't shut down on landing, but I expect this to clear up with more running. The idle is good, nice and low, but it won't quit. The acceleration from idle is good, but the sticky carb tends to make small power changes on final approach difficult. Seems like I need 3 or 4 clicks before the carb decides to let go and move. It has been easy to flip start and it runs good so far. I am very pleased with the engine at this time, especially considering the price.
