If you go brushless in it get a slipper, otherwise you dont need it for a low turn 19T modified.
At least I didnt.

Ok so dont evrybody start yelling at me all at once, But i have been doing some serious thrashing/jumping of my di. bassically built a take of ramp about 9-10 feet high and have been doing a series of jump 50-60 or so. plus put to ramps up to a wall and have been doing wal transfers like skateborder do. The DI is stock other than a modified brushed motor and esc. So all in all this car takes massive abbuse and has stood up to it very well broke a few things but mostly allot of the bolts are just stripping from the impacts. It tumbkes constantly but usually does land 4 wheels down. So i have 2 questions for you guys. 1 i see all theese alloy and carbon parts and i can afford to get either but ive read allot about alu parts braking so i would just like to know what aluminum parts shuld i buy anf what carbon parts shuld i buy? so i can just order it all at once. also the rear shocks bottem out at anything over 1 foot of air and i am getting like 20 feet. So has anyone ever put 2 shocks to each rear arm? and bassically any other upgrades you guys reccomend so i can just get it all at one time since there seems to be a long delay to get them.

on a side note if your just gona tell me to get a diffrent r/c for this dont worry i have more on order but i just love this thing and since i work in upgrading real cars i just wana modify it beacause its fun!
thanks in advance for any help since oyu guys seem to really know oyur stuff!! great thread!

That kind of RC abuse shouldn't be legal.. they should jail you like they do Michael Vicks.. (joke)

I'd say for the CF shock towers would be a good addition to your setup.. but I'd stay away from the alloy stuff as they might bend since you seem to bash them hard.. and once parts are bent, it is hard to get them back true again.. I'd say at most the uprights and knuckles.. but to me, CF > aluminum (for high impact parts) as they have some gives and should hold up better for bashing..

Good luck! Post some pics when you got a chance!

I agree with LB. If you are really thrashing the DF03 then rather shy away from Alloy. Stick with some nice CF shock towers, and perhaps some Tamiya Alu Shocks.

I found it at TamiyaClub, but don't see them at Tamiya's own website. I wonder maybe it is just a video made by the local Tamiya distributor? (like Tamiya UK? Instead of Tamiya in Japan?) No idea....
