I'm new to nitro and just bought a 4-TEC and are loving this car.I havent had to tune it yet and have gone through around 5 tanks so far.Its still on the same glow plug and it runs really strong. The top end on this car is amazing and I am glad I bought it.I bought this car cause I just wanted something fun to drive out front of my house.I will probably buy another nitro street car soon. This is a new hobby for me and is very addictive and I am glad I found this place.

P.S. If the 4-TEC is really hitting 70mph then I am stoked if not oh well its still fun to drive!

wow are you serious!!!!! i said the motors that people don't take out are the 2.5r's and 3.3's i didn't say 2.5's get your facts straight and the reason i was asking are 1500mah batteries good, is because I'm new at electric and i wanted to know Ive been driving nitro for a while now and i wanted something different!!!!!wow i missed spelled something, are you pointing that out cause it makes you feel powerful...everyone makes misspelling mistakes!!!! and i would love to see you run circles around my rustler i know you can run circles around my t-maxx...and yeah i own a hpi and it sucks @$$, your telling me to shut up look(SHUT THE **** UP! YOU DON'T EVEN OWN A 4TEC!!!) um do you own a 4-tec evidentually you dont cause you cant DOUBT it can hit 70+ so you know what, SHUT THE F**K up!!!!!!

ok well first, i'm sorry for not seeing the "r" second, i appologize to everyone who is reading this thread on behalf of myself and this little **** right here... and no, i'm not pointing it out to feel powerful, but obviously you feel you need to leave a **** load of un-neccesary posts to make yourself feel powerful...

btw... yea you own a Micro RS4, duh it's a peice of ****, that was my first car, the first chance I had I got rid of it.... HPI's forte is in Nitro, Not electric, anyone who owns one could tell you that...

and for the record, yes I DID own a 4tec, about a year or two ago, I hated it, and when i saw the 70+MPH sticker on the box I laughed and doubted it, and still doubt it to this day...

as for the rest of you, I'm glad youa re enjoying your 4-tecs, I wasn't too fond of mine, and apperently, this ass **** isn't too fond of me... so before he has a heart attack trying to figure out what he's gonna say next, i'm dropping the subject... HOWEVER, I still DOUBT the 4-tec goes 70+ out of the box...

btw, I'd love to see my mt2 run circles around your rusty and roost you on the track, so I can stand there and laugh in your face.... imature little ****

Damn you guys talk a lot of smack. I don't own a 4-tec. But, i do own 2 Revos. 1 with the 3.3 and the other with the OS18TM. As for the difference i see in these 2 engines. The 3.3 has better top end. But they both seem to have the same low end. As for tunning. Hands down goes to the OS18. I never have to touch the needles on that thing. Plus i have personally temped 1 at 420 degrees and it was still running. The 3.3 i always have to adjust the needles right when i first start it up. Than it will hold a decent tune.

I do believe that the 3.3 4-tec will hit 70+. Traxxas says it will do that in 3 seconds. I doubt that. Not because of the motor. But, because of the tires. Maybe with some foams it will do it in 3 seconds.

Hows it going Medrivfast? Id love to do some drag racing, i live in Sylmar, i know TO pretty good to, my girl lives up there, anyways this week is busy as hell for me but anytime next week I'm down for some racing, i usually drag with my other buddy Peter he has a 4tec 2.5 and the 3.3, we race down here at his work, it has fresh black pavement for a good 1/4 mile, and an even longer straight away on the street right out side, if you maybe want to come down here we can go over there and we can drag, or if u know a good spot up there let me know.

Pburlic, I'll cruise up there for some drag racing. I was running mine tonight and the ground was sooo cold that i was spinning all 4 tires for at least 20 feet. What type of tires do you run?
