That 46 looks good If you decide you want EI down the road you can send it to scott for the mod for a pretty good price and save 9oz.

As far as break in props.. it depends who you talk to. Personally I am not in the habbit of buying a break in prop and think that's a waste of money. Just set your needles rich and dont run it wide open a lot for the first gallon or 2. Other than that fly it and have fun

-----------------

Setting your needles rich for break-in is a glow thing, not a gas engine thing. All you'll do is carbon up the engine unnecessarily. Tune for peak rpm, then back off 200 rpm, according to the gurus.

Ya when I meant rich I meant that.. I usually do 300 rpms... but after it breaks in (3-5 gallons) I go down to 100 rpms as long as it doesnt skip a beat on the upline.

Hey, Zippi. Does the 46 have a choke? I'm thinking of this engine on the GP Ultimate.

No choke on the Brillelli 46... I'm VERY curious how well it'd power a GP Ultimate as well. If it has decent 3d power with one, I'd abandon my Moki 1.8 in there for one in a heartbeat. I love the one on my CE

Hey, Dekerv. There's a huge thread in Giant Scale on the Ulti. Lots of good info.

Bob, check with Scott at Brillelli. He might have a carb with a choke.

A choke is very desirable, isn't it? 'Scuse my lack of knowledge. My only exp. is my DA-50 on a AW 29% Katana.

Brilelli 46 cc now comes with a choke, at least mine did and I got it about 2 weeks ago. I think Scott is putting a carb with a choke on the 40 also.

There's a choke on my 46,got it on a H9 EXTRA 260, couldn't be happier with it. Easy starts, runs like a raped ape,and all i had to do is bolt it on, tach say's 7000rpm with a pro zinger 22x8 prop. I only have about half a gallon through it and haven't reset anything from the time it arrived at my door till now. I see another BRILLELLI engine or two in my not so distant future, building season is coming up soon,if ya know what i mean, powdered water sucks.....

Just had a great idea. Asked Scott about the choke, and the 46 DOES come with choke now, and is lighter, altho he didn't say how much. Happy contrails!

Ah well.. If I do end up putting one in my Ultimate.. it'll be even better!! Going with EI on it if I do. I see Scott offers three EI versions.. any recommendations?
