ORIGINAL: Bobby Folsom Hey, WW2 Ace: I see that you did a 3-line stopper. I used to do that too but I tried a 2-liner on my last plane and discovered that I've been wasting my time putting in that extra line!! Naturally, I assure you are using a DA 50 or so gas engine. Since the gassers have a diaphram pump, the fuel will not go into the carb so no danger of flooding the carb. I believe that Tom's hardware package has one. Two lines are much easier to use - all you have to do is put either a "Y" or a "T" in the intake line and you in business. Bobby Bob, I chose to use the 3 line system because there are no extra connections / cuts in the main fuel line that can cause leaks. Just a straight piece of fuel line from the tank to the carb. On this plane the tank is close to the carb so the main line is only about 10" long. During the winter I may modify the canister tunnel so I can move the tank so it is centered on the CG like the Edge and I may go to 2 line system then. I also want to do some trials on the K&S fuel line to see if it gets soft or brittle before I employ a 2 line system.
